This Privacy Policy describes how Betterway Enterprises Inc., doing business as Trial Lawyer Leads (“Betterway,” “Trial Lawyer Leads,” “we,” “our,” or “us”), operating the website verdictready.com and any related subdomains (the “Site”), collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information about visitors and customers. By using the Site or our services, you agree to the practices described in this Policy.
1. Who we are
Betterway Enterprises Inc. is the legal entity that operates the Trial Lawyer Leads brand and provides lead-generation marketing services to plaintiff-side law firms. We are a marketing services company. We are not a law firm, do not provide legal advice, and do not represent claimants. Our customers are licensed attorneys and law firms.
For privacy questions, contact us at privacy@verdictready.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect information in three ways: information you provide, information collected automatically, and information from third parties.
2.1 Information you provide
- Contact and firm details — name, email, phone, firm name, role, jurisdiction, practice areas, and case criteria you share when booking a call, requesting information, or signing up for services.
- Communications — messages, call notes, and feedback you send to us by email, web form, scheduling tool, SMS, or phone.
- Billing information — when applicable, billing contact, address, and payment-method identifiers (handled by our payment processor; we do not store full card numbers).
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and usage data — IP address, approximate location, browser type, operating system, device identifiers, referring URL, pages viewed, time on page, clicks, and similar interaction data.
- Cookies and similar technologies — first- and third-party cookies, pixels, tags, web beacons, local storage, and SDKs used to operate the Site, measure performance, and deliver advertising. See Section 5.
2.3 Information from third parties
- Advertising and analytics partners — including Meta Platforms, Inc. (Facebook/Instagram), Google, and similar providers, which share measurement and audience data with us.
- Service providers — including our scheduling, CRM, email, and hosting providers (e.g., HighLevel/LeadConnector, Cloudflare).
- Public sources — bar directories or publicly available business information used to verify firms.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, and improve the Site and our services, including matching leads to your firm’s criteria;
- Communicate with you about inquiries, calls, contracts, billing, and service updates;
- Measure marketing performance and run advertising campaigns, including on Meta, Google, and similar platforms;
- Build and serve audiences (such as custom or lookalike audiences) for advertising;
- Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents;
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms & Conditions.
4. Legal bases (EEA/UK users)
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, we process your personal data under one or more of the following legal bases: (a) consent — for non-essential cookies and certain marketing; (b) contract — to provide services you request; (c) legitimate interests — to operate, secure, and improve our services and measure marketing; and (d) legal obligation — to comply with applicable law.
5. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies
We and our partners use cookies and similar technologies to remember your preferences, authenticate sessions, measure traffic, and deliver advertising. These include:
- Essential — required for the Site to function (e.g., security, load balancing).
- Analytics — to understand how the Site is used and improve it.
- Advertising — including the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API, Google tags, and similar technologies, used to measure ad performance, attribute conversions, and deliver targeted advertising on Meta (Facebook, Instagram), Google, and other platforms.
Through these tools, certain information about your interaction with the Site (such as pages viewed, button clicks, form submissions, and hashed identifiers like email or phone where you provide them) may be transmitted to advertising platforms. Meta and similar partners process this information as independent or joint controllers, depending on the activity, in accordance with their own privacy policies and our agreements with them.
Most browsers let you refuse or delete cookies via your settings. You can also opt out of interest-based advertising as described in Section 9.
6. How we share information
We share information with:
- Service providers who process data on our behalf — including hosting (Cloudflare), CRM and scheduling (HighLevel/LeadConnector), email and SMS, analytics, and payment processors — bound by confidentiality and data-processing terms.
- Advertising partners — including Meta, Google, and similar platforms — to measure and deliver advertising. Where required, this is done with your consent.
- Law-firm customers — when you submit information specifically to be matched as a lead, we share that information with the participating law firm or firms.
- Legal and safety — when we believe in good faith that disclosure is required by law, regulation, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, or property.
- Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to standard confidentiality protections.
We do not sell personal information for monetary consideration. However, certain sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising (e.g., Meta Pixel usage) may be considered a “sale” or “sharing” under U.S. state privacy laws. See Section 10.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information for as long as necessary to provide our services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods depend on the type of information and the purpose for which it is used. When no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it.
8. Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system is perfectly secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security. Notify us immediately at privacy@verdictready.com if you believe an account or data has been compromised.
9. Your privacy choices
- Marketing communications — you can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any message, or by emailing privacy@verdictready.com. We may still send you transactional messages (e.g., about a booked call or contract).
- Cookies — adjust your browser settings to refuse or delete cookies. Browser-based opt-outs (such as DAA, NAI, and the Global Privacy Control) provide additional controls. We honor recognized opt-out signals where required by law.
- Meta ad preferences — manage how Meta uses information about you for advertising at facebook.com/adpreferences.
- Google ad settings — manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com.
10. U.S. state privacy rights — Do Not Sell or Share
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under state privacy laws (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Virginia, Utah, Texas, and others) to:
- Know what personal information we collect and how it is used and disclosed;
- Access or receive a copy of your personal information;
- Correct inaccurate personal information;
- Delete personal information, subject to legal exceptions;
- Opt out of the “sale” or “sharing” of personal information and of targeted (cross-context behavioral) advertising;
- Limit the use of sensitive personal information; and
- Be free from unlawful discrimination for exercising these rights.
To opt out of sale/sharing for advertising (including Meta Pixel and similar technologies), email privacy@verdictready.com with the subject line “Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information,” or send a recognized opt-out signal such as the Global Privacy Control from your browser. To exercise other rights, email the same address. We will verify your request before responding and will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.
You may designate an authorized agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require reasonable proof of authorization.
11. EEA/UK rights
If you are in the EEA, UK, or Switzerland, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your personal data, and to object to processing. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw consent at any time. You may also lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To exercise these rights, contact privacy@verdictready.com.
12. International data transfers
We are based in the United States and process personal information there and in other countries where our service providers operate. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards (such as Standard Contractual Clauses) for cross-border transfers.
13. Children’s privacy
The Site is intended for adult business users (attorneys and law firm staff). It is not directed to children under 16, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact privacy@verdictready.com and we will delete it.
14. Third-party links
The Site may link to third-party websites and services that we do not control. Their privacy practices are governed by their own policies. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those sites.
15. SMS, calls, and TCPA consent
If you provide a phone number and consent to be contacted (for example, by booking a call or submitting a form that includes phone consent), you agree to receive calls and text messages from us or our service providers, including by autodialer or prerecorded means, regarding our services. Consent is not a condition of any purchase. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of texts; reply HELP for help.
16. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice. Your continued use of the Site after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Policy.
